Welcome to EADS NA Defense Security and Systems
Solutions, Inc. We look forward to having you attend classes
and would like to do everything we can to make your stay beneficial.
The following guidelines will provide you with information
to help you become familiar with the training facility.
Facility:
EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. is a secure
facility occupying the 4th floor of a commercial building
located approximately 1/2 mile south of the San Antonio Airport.
Our facility is configured as a class B interconnected network
allowing realistic, real-time interaction and interface between
systems.

Telephone Calls:
Telephones are available for student use. DSN is accessible
through local military base operators for official calls
only. Randolph AFB Operator: (210) 652-1110.
Attendance:
If for any reason you will be late or will not be able to attend
class on a particular day during your stay, please contact
EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. at (800)
671-4272.
Class Hours:
Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. Access to the
classrooms will begin no sooner than 7:30 a.m. Intermittent
breaks are provided. One hour will be allowed for lunch.
We suggest that you not schedule your return airline flight
any earlier than two hour after your final class is over.
Clearances:
It is the responsibility of the student or their command to
fax to the EADS NA Defense offices a signed DD Form 1556.
This is to be done at least 10 days prior to the beginning
of their scheduled class. It should be faxed to our Unit
Security Manager, Shannon Alvarado at (210) 680-3981.
Dining Facilities:
A small cafeteria is available on the second floor of Renaissance
Plaza. Numerous commercial dining facilities are available
within walking and in a 5 - 10 minute driving distance.
Attire:
Civilian dress is "business casual." Military dress is Uniform
of the Day.
Smoking Policy:
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the facility. You may
smoke in the designated smoking areas outside.
Climate:
San Antonio weather is very mild in winter, hot and humid in

Medical Care:
First-aid kits are provided at various locations throughout
the facility. If an emergency should arise while you are
at EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. or
your hotel, you may receive treatment at Wilford Hall at
Lackland, AFB or any one of several medical offices located
in the area. EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions,
Inc. is located in Tricare Region 6.
Cameras, Tape Records, Laptops:
Cameras, tape recorders, video recorders and computer equipment
are prohibited at EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions,
Inc.
