EADS NA Defense Continuing Education Credits
** Continuing Professional Education Information
DS3 is sensitive to the fact that many certified professionals focus on courses that not only meet their work-related needs but also those that contribute to attainment of any annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements. We have carefully evaluated our course offerings and believe you’ll find that most of our courses directly relate to the various disciplines of professional certifications such as CISM, CISA and CISSP and as such may be submitted to the accrediting organization for CPE credit.
Both ISACA and (ISC)2 have policies which preclude a member from determining in advance how many hours a particular course is worth; however they do provide a relatively standard accounting of 1 CPE hour for each classroom activity hour in a related subject or discipline area. On an annual basis, those organizations conduct a sampling audit of a number of members to verify that CPEs submitted were relevant and valid and require members to provide any substantiating evidence.
We firmly believe that you’ll find our course content to be relevant and acceptable towards meeting your CPE requirements. Our normal class days include a lunch period and 10 minute breaks each classroom hour and will typically yield 7 CPEs per classroom day. To assist you in submitting your required CPEs, we provide CPE worksheets that identify all of the course related information for a fair and reasonable assessment of CPEs as well as a course certificate. CPE estimates for each course may be found within the links to information on each course offering.
