Overview: EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. provided the Air Force Communications Agency (AFCA) with technology, customer support services, contract maintenance, product integration, and engineering services. EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. generated Security Policy and Compliance Assessment (SPCAs) reports and assisted the Designated Approving Authority in resolving findings.

EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. provided support to AFCA in the preparation of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages. EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc.’s methodology reduced the time needed to perform mandatory C&A tasks from months to weeks.

EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. provided Department of Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP) and Combat Information Transport System (CITS)/Base Information Protect (BIP) tool suite training to the AFCA IT staff.

EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc.’s Quality Control (QC) program included contingency operations and back-up planning. In addition, EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. provided the Security Policy Compliance Branch uninterrupted operations by resolving technical issues. EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. authored updates to AF IA Architecture Sub-council documents to ensure new requirements and products met operational requirements.

EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. worked with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to develop engineering and design standards for IA Professionals and with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to develop DoDD 8510.1-M, Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP) Application Manual. EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. assisted AF, AFCA, and MAJCOM representatives in finalizing Certificates of Networthiness (CoNs), network and system operations, incident response, continuity of operations, security awareness and training, COMSEC, and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) policies and procedures. EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. played an integral role in developing the AF’s CoN and Certificate to Operate (CtO) processes.

EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. authored and developed the Integrated Security Operations Framework (ISOF) model, which integrated the functions and operations of AF-approved COTS and GOTS security tools across the 3-tiered Air Force enterprise network and between the Air Force Network Operations and Security Center (AFNOSC), Network Operations and Security Centers (NOSCs), and Network Control Centers (NCC). A variation of EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc.’s ISOF model is implemented under the CITS NO/IA program.

IA Architecture Sub-council embraced EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc.’s concepts as forward-leaning proactive security measures that protect legacy systems and modern mission systems and networks

EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. assisted the Air Force in meeting their interoperability goals. Our findings and recommendations were distributed globally to provide solutions to previously deadlocked systems to over 108 sites worldwide.

EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. certified engineers are experienced in conducting product testing that meets Common Criteria and Protection Profile validation testing requirements. AFCA chose this highly qualified EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. team to develop the next generation IA architecture. Our input and suggested techniques helped the Air Force gain insight into understanding and managing network security on a global scale.

Our unparalleled engineering support led to AFCA’s Biometrics Lead Command project being showcased on Air Force “TV News” as the future in high tech secure access. A highlight of this recognition was the application of EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc.’s contingency plan seamlessly resolving an AFCA unexpected critical personnel change.
