CENTSTM Has Arrived
San Antonio, Texas - EADS NA Defense Security
and Systems Solutions, today announces the release of our CENTS™
virtual network and operations emulation and training products for
the commercial, federal, and military environments. EADS NA Defense
Security and Systems Solutions is expanding its simulator line,
previously focused primarily on crew training to now providing
simulators for individual training with research and development
efforts in the works to provide simulators for test and evaluation
efforts. CENTSTM simulators will provide customers with the
capability to conduct a wide array of Computer Network Operations
(CNO) in a simulated environment.
Johnnie Hernandez, president and CEO quoted
from recent presentations, "This is an exciting development for our
company and the many information technology professionals that will
benefit from the capabilities our CENTSTM product line can provide”.
In December, EADS NA Defense Security and
Systems Solutions, Inc. announced the availability of its
Cybersecurity Network Training Simulator (CYNTRS) to compliment its
previously available Range End Unit (REU) which has been in use by
the Air Force since 2002. The REU and CYNTRS focus on providing
Computer Network Defense (CND) training to a team or crew at one
time. EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions’ latest product
in the training arena is HOTSIM, the Hands-On Training Simulator.
HOTSIM brings all the capabilities of an REU or CYNTRS, but has a
smaller footprint and centralized management system. HOTSIM has been
designed to augment network operations/management/defense curriculum
with a hands-on training environment that permits each student to
configure or defend the network and understand how all tools and
applications in a network collaborate together.
With the stand-up of its Research and
Development Center, EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions
plans to produce a full line of simulation products and services
that utilize an integrated solution of hardware, software, and
proprietary source code. Simulators that are built with a primary
purpose of supporting test and research environments are at the top
of the R&D Center’s to-do list. Our first effort is a simulator to
support Test & Evaluation (T&E). The T&E simulator is being designed
to support common testing requirements such as Security, Test, and
Evaluation, Vulnerability Assessments, Verification and Validation.
EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions further plans to
expand the T&E simulator capabilities for computer network attack/
computer network exploitation (CANE) and computer forensics, as well
modeling and simulation and research and development efforts. Also
on the drawing board is an IPv6 simulator (SIXS) being designed to
assist in developing and validating IPv6 transition plans,
determining the impact of IPv6 on current systems, identifying
impacts of running in a dual-stack environment, as well as training
individuals and network crews on how to actually execute the
transition.
Each simulator's environment is built to the
customer's specification providing students, operators, and testers
with a simulated environment mirroring what they are used to working
with on a daily basis. For the training simulators, each product has
unique capabilities and an option to provide on site training and
continuing education by an experienced DS3 staff member. The
training scenarios can be tailored to organizational needs and can
be automated to provide repeatable events. Scenarios are based on
past, current and evolving threats your company personnel face
everyday in the protection of your corporate assets. After a
scenario terminates, each person is assisted in evaluating their
performance in preparation for the next training session, thereby
enhancing your IT professionals’ abilities to better manage daily
operations and protect your enterprise network.
